Rowing at City Of Oxford is more than just a sport, it's a way of life. Our members regard each other as an extended part of the family, with a down to earth, friendly and positive atmosphere. There is always a broad range of activities and social events for everyone to take part in. Our members volunteer their time and commitment to making the club a fun and friendly environment that can be enjoyed by all.

Membership at City of Oxford Rowing Club is open to all and we welcome new members and beginners.

New members should direct their enquiries to the Club Captain and/or the Men's Captain or Women's Captain.

Beginners should make contact through the Learn to Row page or contact the  Club Captain

For any general enquiries regarding completion of your membership form, contact the Membership Secretary

New junior members under the age of 18 should direct their enquiries to the Junior Coordinator

Existing members are required to renew their membership in January each year. Details are circulated by the Membership Secretary

What we Do

At City Of Oxford Rowing Club we have a great range of facilities and boats that cater for rowers of all technical abilities, including juniors, adaptive, recreational, competitive and senior squads.   

 As a member of the club you will gain access to our gym and professional rowing equipment seven days a week. The club bar and catering facilities provides breakfast and evening meals on selected days of the week.   

 We provide a comprehensive training program delivered by friendly and experienced coaches and coxes for whom rowing is their passion.  

 Rowing courses and events are held throughout the season including corporate eights, available to local businesses and organisations who wish to take up the sport.    

 Our club has influenced a large number of people in extremely positive ways, creating lifelong friendships, improving fitness and with a positive environment that brings people together. This is why we are one of the largest clubs in Oxford and most of our members stay with us long term.
